The distortion section is a classic Rat circuit (except ORANGE HEX uses a TL071 OpAmp.. Trust me on this one.. It sounds brutal..) until it hits the tone control and output booster, where it becomes a Black Russian Big Muff..

Two heavy hitting sludge and doom monsters smashed together to produce a pedal that's greater than the sum of its parts.. Creating a unique fuzz distortion that even sounds great at lower gain settings. Roll off the sustain control and you'll gain note clarity and more overdrive style tones.

Use the versatile Big Muff tone control to tune it perfectly for your needs, all the way from fat lows, to punnchy mids, to soaring highs.

You can also select the BASS RUSSIAN RAT in the drop down menu. I have designed an add on circuit board that allows me to place an LPB1 style clean boost in parallel with the circuit, offering bass players a passive clean blend to retain their lows at high gain settings.
