Dark Prophecy - Octave Distortion

Dark Prophecy was born out of lockdown experimentation.

After building one for myself and sharing it on social media, I had so many requests to make them available that I decided to do a VERY LIMITED run of 5.

I will never make these again. - once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.

Dark Prophecy is made by combining my SERPENT & LEGION pcbs and wiring them in an unusual way.

At its core, Dark Prophecy is an octave Rat..

On steroids...

Your signal is warped beyond recognition when it hits two vintage analogue octave up fuzz circuits..

And that’s before it even enters Serpent’s vintage rat distortion, where it’s mangled and brutalised even further..

Legion’s vintage transistor boost is then used as the master volume, making this thing nasty, aggressive and louder than hell....

Dark Prophecy also features a mini toggle switch to bypass the two octave circuits, essentially giving you a Rat with a vintage transistor boost as the volume.

Each enclosure has been coated in hammerite hammered effect black paint, giving them a tolex-like finish, and feature a domed The Zero Fret logo badge.
