KAIJU - it’s like my Legion pedal on steroids...
Kaiju does everything Legion does and more..
The octave section remains the same but there have been some modifications to boost.
I’ve added 3 things:
1. Optional diode clipping
2. A gain knob
3. A bias control
The diodes will allow you to clip this signal of the clean boost, adding a certain amount of tonal grit.
The gain knob will send Kaiju from a nice clean boost to an extremely dirty boost bordering on distortion.
The bias control adds a further realm of grit to the sound, giving you a blown out Matamp / Orange feel to the distorted signal.
When the bias is really cranked to extreme levels, it will choke and starve your poor signal, giving it a zippy, gated synth-like sound.
This opens you up to new possibilities when playing with delay / modulation pedals in the effects loop. You can get some strange but very usable sounds out of it.
