DEAD DRIVE - HEAVY MODDED DOD 250 DISTORTION

DEAD DRIVE is what happens when you take a classic DOD 250 circuit and heavily tweak its component values for more gain and volume..

The result is a much heavier, thicker distorted overdrive sound that will turn to full on fuzz when you flick your guitar to the neck pick up position.

I've also borrowed an idea from the Rat and added a low pass filter before the op amp to shave off some high frequencies and eradicate the noise from this famously noisy cicuit...

Equally at home on bass or guitar, this killer distortion / overdrive / fuzz loves low tunings and is extremly stackable with other pedals.

The clipping section has been altered to use asymmetrical LED / Schottky diode combo to create the distortion.

Six only, all hand made, wired and painted by myself in my garden workshop!
